His first novel, The Kingdom of Grape, received high praise for its charm, wit, and adventure. His latest novel, With Little Means, once again received high praise for its creativity and originality.

The Kingdom of Grape is a classic fairy tale and the perfect first chapter book for young readers. Set in the middle ages, a common messenger boy named Donnie Drake, has fallen in love with the beautiful Princess Jane Grape. Her father, King Earl Grape, has arranged for Jane to marry the ruthless Duke the Red. Not only does Jane not love him, she despises him. It is up to Donnie Drake to become a hero and rescue his true love from the evil Duke. Music has always been a big part of Raimo’s life. In his early 20’s, Raimo was the singer/songwriter in a band called, Cranney. His first book, The Kingdom of Grape, originated as a song. Tired of writing personal heartbreak songs, he wanted to write something completely different. Thus, The Kingdom of Grape was born. You can hear some of that music on his YouTube channel below.

Musicians of Barrie and area have come together to raise money for local charities in the crazy time of 2020/21 and the Covid-19 outbreak. Raimo played live! featuring songs from his novella, With Little Means. You can see his performance through the link below.
